# A six-month roadmap you can revise

Use this after a few experiments, ideally at the end of your first month. You are choosing a direction to explore, not making a promise about the next six months.

The next six months start from that review. Use milestones that fit your chosen aim and capacity.

## Start with evidence

Look back at your notes. What did you return to? What helped in actual use? What was enjoyable? What required more time, money, or attention than you wanted to give it?

Choose one direction and explain why it deserves the next small investment of your effort. Improving current work, making something creative, and exploring an income idea are all possible directions.

## Make the plan your own

Make the next two weeks specific: one action and a finish line that matters to you. Sketch later milestones around your own aim. A plan for returning to painting should look different from a plan for changing work or simplifying a household routine.

Choose review points and leave later steps tentative. You can sketch this on paper or use the [planning prompt in the starter path](https://symonhe.com/start/#first-month-choose-a-direction-worth-exploring) to help compare possibilities. Keep the decisions in your hands.

## Plan around the life you have

Write down a realistic weekly time budget, a spending ceiling, and responsibilities that take priority. Then choose a smaller version for weeks when your normal plan is not workable.

Stopping or changing direction is a valid result. Choose at least one signal that would make you reconsider: repeated lack of usefulness, an unsustainable workload, unwanted expense, or a more important responsibility.
